Easy Dinner Kit
This kit is ideal for busy homes, students, and anyone looking to get dinner on the table in very little time!
This kit includes a FREE cutting board and a wooden spoon (spoon and board may vary, depending on availability).
This kit includes these spice blends: BBQ Chicken (and pork), Pizza/Pasta Spice, Halifaxe Donair, Spud Spice, Taco Seasoning.
BBQ Chicken / Pork- If you like the outside part of rotisserie chicken, this is that! This seasoning goes great with more than just Chicken. It is perfect with pork too. The molasses in the brown sugar brings a out the smokey qualities of the paprika. So versatile, it works well tossed with oil for root vegetables too.
Pizza/Pasta Spice- What turns tomato sauce into pizza sauce? This spice blend! If you take 1 can of diced tomatoes and ½ can of tomato paste and cook it up in a sauté pan then add 1-2 Tbsp of this spice blend, you'll have a great pizza sauce. For a nice pasta sauce, use a little less tomato paste and add your boiled and drained pasta to that pan. Heat up the pan with both sauce and pasta, add a bit of the pasta water and cook down to a nice saucy consistency. Easy vegan dinner... done! It also goes great on plain pizza dough that has been rubbed with olive oil. Sprinkle a generous amount, rub into the oil and bake. Easy snack bread.
Halifaxe Donair- This is the quintessential Donair mix. Others have tried, but this is a truly great blend. In order to get the spices to permeate the meat and achieve the texture of a true Donair, you MUST follow the directions on the package. Your efforts will be rewarded! You can make a loaf or burgers.
Here's a recipe for Traditional Donair Sauce:
The name of this product is a "tip of the hat" to "Timber Lounge Halifaxe" who provided sponsorship to Canada's National Axe Throwing Team. (yes, we have a National Axe Throwing Team). Many of the team members train at Timber Lounge locations. Timber Lounge technically put the AXE in Halifaxe!
Spud Spice- The name says it all, it is perfect for potatoes. If you add to oil when tossing the fresh cut potatoes, you can get some nicely seasoned fries/homefries, or potato patties. Add it to your mashed potatoes, and top your shepherd's pie with this mash!
Taco Seasoning- Have you been looking for a great Taco blend without fillers? You can use this with ground meats or even meat substitutes, or try it mixed into taco burgers! If you love corn on the cob, sprinkle a bit onto a buttered cob of corn then squeeze a little lime to bring that simple corn on the cob to the next level of awesomeness!
